Troop 462 is a boy-led, parent supported, active troop that prides itself on instilling and fostering the values of the Boys Scout way of life!
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
Scoutmasters Vision: My vision for Troop 462 is to help them succeed in becoming a true boy lead troop by supplying them with the necessary skills and opportunities.
Being boy led, supported by adults, means that we’re not perfect. But we work hard, play harder and somewhere along the way manage to learn a lot too.
We provide a year-round program for boys ages 11 to 18 by utilizing the patrol method and various activities to build character, responsibility and personal fitness. Our 30 scouts and 12 registered adults make up the 5 patrols within the troop. The scouts plan and carry out the weekly meeting and chose monthly outings to attend.
